It doesn’t matter if you walk for pleasure, speed, or fitness – completing a distance event is a personal milestone that boosts self-confidence and keeps you motivated. It’s also a great way to support a cause, make new friends, and explore the city.

Train with Us

You’ll train with experienced coaches. Get personalized attention. Learn to walk better, faster, and without injury.

Walk training takes place bi-monthly on Sundays at 2:00 PM. Meet at Grant Park track, located at NE 33rd Ave. and US Grant Place in Portland, OR.

Train with Others

Group training is more effective than training alone. You’ll improve your technique. Learn how to pace yourself. Discover what to eat and drink on the course.

Speed Is Not Important...

But your ability to walk steadily is. To get the most out of this 12-week program:

  • 5K walkers should be able to walk 20 minutes without stopping.
  • 10K walkers should be able to walk 40 minutes without stopping.
  • Half Marathon walkers should be able to walk 60 minutes without stopping.
